Spotted this table on NIXCRAFT Facebook :

So instead of “arp -a” - try “ip neigh”… The output looks easier to follow for me anyway…

I haven’t actually used “ifconfig -a” for a few years - it’s just “muscle memory” for me to type “ip a” - since around Debian 8 and derivatives (e.g. Ubuntu 16ish)…

I was aware of ifconfig and netstat, but always good to know.

I have not caught up with the netstat or arp alternatives.
