There are cases of misuse. Police logs of searches are public record. You can plug your license plate number into the “have I been flogged” website to see if your tag is in there.

So do we. I used to live in the outback, but now we live in a coastal rural area.
It slows life down a bit, but there is always something to do .
Surveillance is coming here too … there are cameras in the local town and on the highway.
Digital technology has even made it into Church … we now pass around an eftpos machine instead of a plate.
