Question is… does a system call constitute incorporating non-foss software into otherwise foss apps?
If it does, that would require disclosure of the system source code.
That obviously does not happen with Microsoft Windows.

Yeah… overlooked that comment. Obviously it’s okay to have FOSS software (including GPL) running in a closed operating system. It’s only not allowed to actually USE GPL’ed code inside your closed source project (be it an OS or an application)
