No problem think we all on the site enjoy the interaction with each other and with new members who brig a challenge that may be outside of our normal comfort box, gives us something new to challenge the thought process.
Good luck with the final assessment and please let us know how you got on.
Plus out of interest some of the other student projects just to see if they had similar ideas.
Thank you for that.
One of the really important things for forum users to do is to give feedback .
You have been doing that really well.
Stay with us, I am sure you have more to contribute
Heyy there.
I completely forgot to tell about how it went. Really sorry abt that.
So it was amazing. The judges loved it. They asked just a few qs which were a piece of cake for me. Most probably ill be selected for the intercollege competiton in jan.
Also I have a doubt. Now my system has mx linux and pop os but with grub installed from mx. And i want to remove mx. How can i safely do that?
Before you remove MX, you need to boot PopOS and do grub-install from within PopOS. That will ensure that PopOS controls grub.
After you remove MX you need to do update-grub in PopOS , so it will remove Mx from the grub menu.
Be careful. I just made a mess of my multiboot system . One wrong move with grub can stop you booting anything.
Then I made a bootable using another laptop I had, recovered the files by copying them to an external hdd. Did clean install of pop. Transferred the data back in!
Congratulations. If someday you think of sharing it, I will be happily test it in my PC. And you can visit the Arcolinux website: https://www.arcolinux.info/
you will find tons of tutorials on making a distro. Though they are all based on Arch.
And another news from me, I have found the distro for my PC. It is EndeavourOS:
Itās really easy to install, maintain and their support is superb. This is a distro which is really built by the EndeavourOS community and also it is maintained by them. No corporate interference / supervision.
