If they say “We love Linux” then they should really love it and not just make a commercial distro.

I have never seen a custom laptop.
One of my desktops was custom, the other refurbished. Neither has secure boot… too old.
I agree. The other option is recycling old hardware.
Does anyone build open hardware? Or is it at present only a concept.?
System76 do - they’re the developers of Pop!_OS… They also make desktop systems too…
There are others too… Some even go so far as creating open firmware / bios / UEFI…
I forget their name (found it - “Framework”) - and there’s one modular laptop company that will pre-install Linux for you… All the components are inter-changeable… I seem to remember - they’re not cheap…
And I’m sure Dell and Lenovo still offer Linux as an option (but I’ve NEVER seen where / how to buy from Australia).
