Holocaust memorial day 2019

Today Sunday 27 January is holocaust memorial day 2019. It is a day when we remember all the victims. It is a day when we remember when hate and prejudice burns the soul of humankind. It is a day we also remember those from all races/colours/religions came together to fight against this evil.

Our community is an example of peoples from all the world coming together and sharing and being friends, whatever our differences. May our community always be this way and may today may we as a community share our love and respect for those millions murdered in all holocausts that have happened not just that during the 1930’s and 40’s, but before and since then and may we all vow NEVER AGAIN.

thank you for the reminder and the very well worded call to unity and understanding. as an impressionable (and maybe even a bit sheltered) 18 year-old american visiting europe for the first time in 1991, the tour of what remained of dachau was both impressive and haunting. movies and tv can only convey so much. as you said, that translates well beyond just the first half of the 20th century. :peace_symbol::dove::peace_symbol:
