Is it appropriate to post AI content here?

Here’s what I did to check, once I got the dirty AI smell in my nose.

  • Worthless commit messages, or commit messages that read like an ad. :white_check_mark:
  • Code commits which basically dump a lot of code in one commit to the repository. :white_check_mark:
  • In this case I found the initial commit adhered to two points above, but then no more code commits, only commits which had information for CI or git itself (like .gitignore). :white_check_mark:
  • Being uncertain I then (ironically) pointed an AI (Gemini) at the repository. It concluded it was 100% certain it was AI produced. I then challenged the AI’s conclusions. It told me systems programmers are known for their tidiness in their code. So I asked it for a conclusion. Then it told me, again, the entire project was generated by AI, with an 85%-90% certainty. :white_check_mark:
  • So I went on with the post over here. Yep, AI generated. :white_check_mark:

I was appalled with this person’s behavior. He brought it like it was all his own work, while none of it was (not even the post here).

Thanks, I need to learn at least some of your tricks, even though I know I can rely on you detect these things.

I did notice the robot-like code.

Where is the cutoff? How do we deal with someone sho declares say 50% AI content?

For me thats too high, the idea is to have user interaction.

Its just like a google search result no effort.
