I think the biggest hurdle might be making people feel safe trying Linux, not just making the installation easier. A ready-to-use USB sounds great, especially if someone can try everything without worrying about changing their Windows setup. That seems like a much less intimidating first step.

Totaly agree with Neville here. I think you will find a distro for your laptop if you search for it and try and not just give up. Regards Mikael
