Quiting program in Panel does not quit

When I try to quit a program by right-clicking the icon in the panel and selecting Quit, the Flatpak install/open screen for that app appears, and the app is still running. Weird.
Now I close a program by clicking only the X in its upper-right location of its screen.
Is there a cure for this panel behavior or is that just the way it is?

Try disabling the dock and re-enabling it.
You can do it from the Gnome Extensions App.

What is the App called and is there a Deb alternative instead of Flatpak?? As I’m sure the Deb version would be better, if there is a deb version?
