Scanning .mp4 files with clamscan

@callpaul.eu :

Hi Paul,

That´s no problem, but I issue the command

clamscan -r -i /media/rosika/f14a27c2-0b49-4607-94ea-2e56bbf76fe1/thunderbird_neu

manually. It covers the path where my thunderbird profile resides.
I could´ve restricted it to scanning the mails folder only but never bothered much about that.

Many greetings from Rosika :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t use YouTube but FreeTube which shows that song performed by more than 6 different singers .
Freetube ,available for Linux , AppleMac and M$Windows (MIT licence) =free
Advantage : no adds interuptions …hence I no longer use YouTube

Hi Frank,

thanks for your reply .
Using FreeTube seems a good suggestion. Thanks for mentioning it.

Yes, that´s right.
I was specifically looking for the version used by the TV series “Vanity Fair”:

Vanity Fair ITV Theme Music – All Along The Watchtower – TV Advert Songs .

Here it says the song was performed by “Afterhere”. So I found it pretty quickly on youtube, too.

I spend most of my time running virus removal tools in windows, adwcleaner, malwarebytes, superantispyware, and ccleaner (just as a tidy up).

Has anyone any sucess using clamav on windows either as a prevention or clean up after an attack ?

I checked the web site and its not a simple download, click and run on windows as it is in linux so hesitate to go down the road.

Most of the time my tools find and kill enough, but I prefer to recommend LMDE instead for a similar price in hours of work, most accept that idea but not all first time round but usually by second or third problem.
