To answer my question…… ok I understand no problem
That is a 10 inch tablet .
I use an original Galaxy Tab A… it is slooow (like me)
My wife recently bought a Galaxy tab A9+… it is 11 inch and seems much more zippy.
I guess I have the A7 Lite. That one says 8.7”.
Allow for your declining eyesight and get a larger one next time.
The tablet is primarily used as a simple browser and ereader, Paul. I don’t really trust its security, so any data of value is processed on my desktop in Linux. I’m sorry if my answer seemed flippant.
No problem I understand
Sometimes replies cause others to pick up the story and add to it
So you think an Android tablet is less secure than a Linux PC. ?
I am not sure.
I would not trust a phone, but a tablet not on the phone network and not used outside the home, could be secure if one avoided downloading untrusted apps.
Android is a smaller attack surface than Linux… but that is not the only factor.
I use Proton Pass on my phone–I’ll see if it’s compatible with my tablet. Of course you’re right about shady apps.
I try to avoid opening banking in public but when away in hotel you are a bit stuck. My bank insists on a special app on my phone so when I do a action on my tablet or linux computer it messages me through the app and without my code the transaction does not take place.
Double security
My face and fingerprint certify me for my phone.
So if we are going to rob you we need to cut off your finger .. like the do on the movies. Your face could be a bit difficult
Yes, my banks use 2FA via the phone to validate transactions.
One of the reasons I traded in the Apple phone for a motorola was that the Apple kept telling me ‘your face is too blurry’ when I attempted to register for face recognition. Check my avatar–is it blurry??
Sure it was apple phone and not too much apple cider
Will it recognise a photo of your face?
Even so, I prefer the size of the smaller one. Something 10” just seems too big to me.
