Hey everyone,
today, on my profile, I noticed a number next to a text that said, “Cheers”. It brought me to following page:
What is this supposed to be? Anyone got an idea or knows?
Hey everyone,

Think the general idea is to encourage you to be part of the community, add useful comments to posts and be interactive. As you see Neville and I are usually towards the top as we participate on many posts, but the position really has no value to me at least, I use it mainly to see who has contributed.
Alfred is correct in his reply.
It just comes as part of the package we all use.
sounds like the mcdonald board of excellence
please remove!
Agree. A community should not be powered by a leaderboard to encourage people to participate (though I guess that’s not the case). I just don’t see the use of this in the forum. Any thoughts from @abhishek on this?
It does not bother me whether we have it or not.
I dont regard it as a contest or a race.
Most of discourse seems to be propped up by this sort of thing … eg badges and popular links.
I think it is harmless.
I think it does need some statistics about usage patterns.
This is a built-in Discourse feature that can be disabled. There is no real meaning here. You don’t get prizes for being the ‘member of the month’.
However, I like it for the fact that I can see the most active members here. Also gives me an idea about regular active members.
Personally, I like it
I can disable it but only if you folks absolutely detest it.
Oh, that explains everything! I thought that it’s like the most active get extra stuff.. due to having the top in big pics. If that’s so, I actually find it informative - I only thought that so…
Same here. Leave it as it is. ![]()
I am with you on keeping it, like you I use it to see who has been on the site and interacted,
If it costs nothing then leave it alone.
I wish I could add something similar to a web site I run as some of our group are very discouraging but as my site is on a totally different platform all I can offer is general user stats
Yes we do …. More work to do !
Not complaints more we get the more interesting it is to return
