Warm greetings to all members of IT’S FOSS.

Would like to say I’ve been a penguin-duckface guy for 25 years already.
But no. About 2 months is all, as a newbie to Linux.
Learning online too, enrolled in 2 courses, 1. Java
plus 2.Security and exposing hacks.

The Foss site already enabled me to restart my laptop which had stopped updating Ubuntu Software for the previous week, caused when I attempts to download a video decoder.
Thanks to the post: “[Solved], could not get lock var/lib/dpkg/lock Error in Ubuntu”, within an hour I got the updates and my laptop was functioning once again.

Currently searching now to find solution to irregular laptop surging noises. On FF browser I have now got the ‘No Coin’ ext. applied but it still feels as though somebotty is playing unwelcome hitchh-hiker on my computer when I power up.
Next time I update profile details I trust I may have it solved and can delete that paragraph.
