I am a partner in an antiquarian book business. I had been thinking about moving to Linux for a couple of years as Microsucks kept taking more control away from users, updates became less about security and more about MS control in the name of being more “User Friendly”. About a year ago they forced the upgrade to ten from my 7 and on the first 3 updates they deleted programs I had bought and paid for! I would reinstall after each episode but it got me more determined to move away from MS. I finally made the first move to LM mid march 2020 and could not be happier. I will soon be moving my biggest, most powerful and newest PC over to LM. I’m just going slow as I get round the learning curve and find all the apps to replace Adobe & MS apps that I have long used in the business. It has been going well and I am only on the Windows PC about 30 minutes a week to make sure both machines are fully backed up. Everything else is done on the Mint system.
