I live in a retirement community In Rockford, IL, and I love computers so I belong to the BOINC community doing several projects on my two desktops. If you don’t know, BOINC stands for Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing. It is a background running program with many different projects to choose from, and they are virtually all science related. BOINC lets you contribute computing power on your home PC to projects doing research in many scientific areas. You can contribute to a single project, or to any combination of them.
