I’m an old systems programmer retired and admittedly well past my prime. My biggest accomplishment decades ago was to build a PL/I compiler for the CDC 6600. I took that on as a challenge, since at that time PL/I was considered to be one of the most challenging languages around. The world is different now and PL/I is totally obsolete.
