I have been using linux mint for a number of years.
I tried other disto’s but found mint most to my liking.
I have been using computers for almost 30 years, switching from windows after windows managed to brick my laptop not once but twice. Fortunately I was able to recover everything. I was not impressed.
I find a lot of what is discussed on the forums is over my head but I have found answers to question I had.
