Huge thanks for this tutorial/post

Available since 21 Sep 2023 and really very valuable.

As a friendly observation. Was mentioned about official and non-official PPA, it in the Official PPA vs unofficial PPA section.

The reason of this post: currently is not clear explicitly how to detect if a PPA is official or not. I think it is missing, pls consider to cover that point.

p.d: As requested in other post. There is no a section in the forum to report suggestions/errors to any tutorial/post yet

It is difficult to say if a PPA is official or not.

Couple of ways to distinguish:

  • The developer website mentions that they maintain a PPA
  • PPA page mentions that it is the official PPA

I have added it in the article now.

Thanks for the feedback … practically it depends on the own developer’s reputation too.
