Amazon Sidewalk

On the 9 June Amazon are going to start to update smart speakers and devices such as echo and Alexa with Amazon Sidewalk

We do have to option to turn it off, but only if we remember to do so or even realise the implications of the update.

Having read several items on it and done some web searches I wonder from a security point of view if it should be enabled or not.

I’d does not appear there has been a mass take up of development or new devices to use it, so this could just be another one of the internet of things item…

Thoughts or comments from others in the group, even though it’s not a Linux question, interested to learn more

Let’s take a look at the implementation quality of this update. Suddenly it will be buggy enough that users won’t want any updates.
