Artifacts on screen when running on Battery

Hi everyone, I got a laptop running Kubuntu and for a few months I noticed that when I run my laptop on battery I get these artifacts on screen with different colors, but If I connect it to external power these artifacts are gone.

Anyone has any idea on why this is happening, does my GPU have a problem?

No, it is more likely the battery or its contacts have a problem.
A stable power supply is quite important for a computer.
You might see if your local computer store would swap in another battery for you, to test it.

Thanks for the reply,

Because this was happening I tried installing Ubuntu, and It still happened, but when I installed Manjaro KDE the artifacts were gone, but If I run Kubuntu, KDE Neon, Ubuntu I the artifacts.

Manjaro is more up to date. It may have newer versions of the firmware involved in driving the GPU.
If that is the case, you may be able to add newer versions of firmware to Ubuntu or Kubuntu by using a backport… or you can wait until Ubuntu updates .
You could try MX “ahs” version… it has the most recent hardware support.

It is still strange that it only happens on the battery

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.
