I’m in the market for a new pair of speakers, as my current ones have recently shown signs of breakage in the cables.
My new speakers need to produce a reasonable sound quality and I think sturdy cables are a good idea. I need stereo speakers - I’m not looking for surround sound. I also don’t want a subwoofer. I just want two speakers which will occupy one port. Bluetooth, infrared, or wifi speakers are also not an option for me.
Which do you recommend in the price range €100 - €250?
My vote goes for Microlab Solo 6C if you can get it. Otherwise try to get an affordable bookshelf speaker set, and an amplifier for it. In the long run that will perform better than the speakers intended for computer usage. I currently have a pair of Magnat motion 110, that’s a closed box (not vented!) so the bass fades much more naturally than with a bass-reflex system.
I’m more than happy with that, and I can recommend a similar setup.
If I had the money then my only answer would be BOSE, now whats the question ?
But they are expensive and depends what you are going to listen too and at what level.
I have alex a very early version no longer sold. Its on wifi and I am happy listening to the radio on it as background. My stepson plays games and uses a soundbar plus bass driver, the room shakes when he plays. Lucky he lives 150 km away so no big problem for us just people in the same apartment block as him.
I have these speakers and love them. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System (Black). But they have a subwoofer. About $180 US.
I have not used these, but I am guessing they would be similar in quality to mine. Klipsch ProMedia 2.0 Multimedia Compact Computer Speaker System Compatible for Any Laptop, Desktop, or Mobile Device for Premium Home Office, Workstation, or Gaming System (Black). About $130 US.
