I am on linux mint 22, thunderbird 140.4. From Abhi, Nev, George, Rosika, Paul, I am very technologically challenged. I would say you would need to get down to the crayola level for me, and finger paint would not insult me. My son, is a Texas A&M Aggie, and he says, “I am one level below even that. Dad, you smear your monkey poo on the wall!” So if you could put up with me, I would be ever so grateful.
I have also never been to India. It is on my to do list. My website is down, and as soon as i get it up, you can see how far around the world i have been, but not yet to India!
Recently, a computer guru got ahold of my computer, and piecemealing it back together has been a challenge. Two weeks, i could go to thunderbird, calendar and because i had filled in the special dates for birthdays, a birthday and age would show up on 11.02 with their age and name. In the future, can i make copies and paste to show you what i am seeing? The special date is filled out and saved, but it is not showing up on the calendar. I would prefer to stick with thunderbird app. On my crayola level, at best, what do you suggest i do? I have more such ideas, but i really like to call folks and wish them a Happy Birthday, and i miss this feature. A lady friend of ours, turned 75 Sat, but she did not show up in my daily calendar. Thank you….b³
Hi @Bearzilla ,
Yes you can . There are two techniques
you can make a screenshot, save the image on your computer, then upload it to the forum editor using the 7th button on the top line of the editor
you can copy/paste text into what is called a ‘code block’ in the forum editor.
The codd block protects the text from being interpreted by the editor, so it displays what you copy in verbatim.
To do a code block , type on a new line
```
, then do a new line, then copy/paste your text into the editor, then do another newline with
```
Those ‘`’ marks are a backtick character.
