Found this one time about cleaning up / updating files for Mint.

Linux Mint leaves a lot of cruft

Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon As a newbie to writing Bash scripts, I wanted a single command that I could run and streamline all the updating and cleanup that I used to run ‘by hand’. Below is what I came up with. I prefixed all the little aliases with “J” because my first name is Jim and I wanted something easy to remember for my feeble mind. House Keeping in Linux

House Cleaning. Is there any monthly or routine jobs that need /should be run. I’m thinking about log files, temp files, update files, printer files, or de-frag that may need to be run to keep the your system running smooth and/or not expanding too much?
