Commands Used for Malware Analysis

Should i be worried after reading this item in the weekly news letter

I have never scanned a linux system for problems or issues in the last 20 years of using it. I now use the firewall which again before never thought about.

Is this mainly for servers rather than standalone PC.

I always sell the idea of linux as being virus free and no major issues, but i now wonder

Hmm… this is not the intention of the article actually.

It is not for checking if your Linux system has malware.

These commands are for people who are in the security and pen-testing field (a legitimate job).

So, if someone is in the security fields and work on analyzing known malware etc for research purpose, they can use the mentioned commands in their workflow.
