Continuous typing of the letter "T"

Hi Rosika,

The intention is to clean with the brush, but without removing the keys, because you could break the key holders.

I didn’t recommend the vacuum cleaner because I was once cleaning my son’s keyboard and inadvertently vacuumed a key that was damaged.

The keyboard was very expensive and the keyboard company kindly gave me a key, but I had to pay the postage. The postage was so expensive that I never used the vacuum cleaner to clean the keyboard again.

There are some small, portable vacuum cleaners that are also very good for cleaning keyboards, they have the same effect as the brush, but I can’t tell you to buy a vacuum cleaner like that to clean keyboards.

Hi Paul,

You were right to mention the water in compressed air, because they often don’t maintain the compressors.

Normally, those who have compressed air have a filter to eliminate water particles and have to regularly purge the equipment, or in more professional cases, use a compressed dry air system.

As I said, this is something that most users don’t have at home :wink:

You can buy spraycans of compressed air…. water free…. designed for cleaning electronic components. They come with a fine tube, which is great for cleaning tight spaces.

Hi again, :waving_hand:

@callpaul.eu :

I didn´t know that. Well, you never stop learning, do you?

Of course that´s good advice. Thanks, Paul.

@Tech_JA :

Right. I certainly don´t have any compressed air at home.

That sounds good, but I wonder how to get underneath the keys with any (small / tiny) brush. If I recollect the situation correctly the keys of the laptop fitted very tightly. Not at easy thing to accomplish, I guess.

Thanks. Well, I never thought of applying a vacuum cleaner to this end. :wink:

@nevj :

O.K., that looks very much better now. Thanks, Neville.

Many greetings to all from Rosika :slightly_smiling_face:

I use a makeup brush for putting on powder on the cheeks, but its never been used for that bought it new as the bristles are really soft. Sunny looks at the makeup counter when I buy…..

Hi Paul, :waving_hand:

thanks for the additional information.

Next time I´m at Margret´s I´ll have a closer look at her keyboard to see whether it could be done.

Cheers from Rosika :slightly_smiling_face:
