Curious about your PC's boot up time?

Hi @R_G,
Your boot time seems slow to me, but then again for your configuration, it might be good / acceptable.

My stats:
Startup finished in 4.307s (kernel) + 9.465s (userspace) = 13.772s
graphical.target reached after 9.432s in userspace

Laptop Thinkpad X220, 480 GB SSD, Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.
CPU = i5-2520m @ 2.5 GHz x 2 and 6 GB memory.

The

page displays 2020-01-01 as the only ditsro date. Is it not strange ?
I checked

but, beside the fact that the forum runs on the same engine than

, I was not able to learn when it was launched/created the first time.

My question is @Mina, why do you use Garuda Linux ?

Thank you

Well, personal experiences differ and you may be right. I’m the last one to tell anybody what they should think. Perhaps I was expecting marvels when I first bought a SSD but I found the improvements not to be too impressive after having spent a lot of cash on one.

It’s a bit off-topic here, but I can explain:

I got the idea from

I’m not much into distro-hopping, at least not on my workhorse desktop PC, but I have this cheap laptop with not too much data to backup, so I thought, I might roam a bit outside my comfort zone. I was curious about trying an Arch based distribution and I thought, the screenshots in the article just looked awesome.

About the release date on distrowatch: This might be because it is a rolling release.

So far, I’m really happy with it as I am with the forum you mentioned.
