This post is not a poll but I am curious about: How you resolved this requirement in Debian. If you do not use Flatpak and you need use a GUI Client. What is used and how was installed?. The best and easiest scenario should be through the apt command but here I need your personal experience
The git-gui program is supposed to come with a git install
I cant recommend it , because I have never tried to use it.
May be worth a look. It may be enough for what you want , without getting into anything too fancy. Overkills can be a nuisance.

Best advice for working outdoors in the heat is eat very little and drink lots of water, wear a broad brimmed hat and loose cotton clothing.
I worked in inland Australia, no-one drinks (alcohol) while working. It is a sort of a social thing at weekends to go to town and visit the pub.
It’s cold for few days and then your body get used to it. Running outside is a bit hard for the lungs. My biggest concern is my car’s battery. If it freezes I can’t start it.
I don’t know how they handle it in Lapland Been there few times and oh man it’s cold!
Fortunately it does not last long. Late this afternoon there was a cool change from the arctic…temperature dropped from 41C to 22C in about an hour. Thats what I call climate change!
Worst I remember was a week of 40C weather… and it stayed that hot at night… could not sleep. Standard technique is to wet the bedsheets and lie on the wet sheets… it feels cold and you fall asleep ( hopefully)
There must be a way of redistributing heat/cool from one hemisphere to the other? Heat is molecular movement. A wind or an ocean current can translocate it. Any ideas?
Your blood temperature is 38C. When the environment goes above that you can not cool by radiating heat, only by sweating.
You feel lethargic and do not think clearly.
Most great scientific thinking happens in cool climates… the brain works better when cooled…like your computer.
I did read a story about Australia and the weather cord.
The farmers fitted a cord to a cloud, when they pulled it, the rain came, but the tourists were not happy, so they pulled it again and the sun came,no the farmers pulled etc …. Till it broke !
True or not does not matter, cannot please any of the people any of the time. Season we need.
