In the process of reinstalling Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, files on the Desktop were lost/overwritten. How do I recover these files.
If you did a fresh reinstallation without backup, you’re probably lost.
If you remember some file name, you could try to find them with locate -i filename but if that doesn’t yield to any results, only a deep level analysis of your disk might recover some of your files. In this case, try:
