Correction - just checked prices downunder from Umart for a Threadrippter - the only one they have is $17,000 (AUD)

I watched that this morning too. I’ve watched several from the LTT channel in the past, but don’t subscribe or watch regularly.
When I watched it there were 1.5M views and it had been out for less than a day. Pretty high click rate there.
Have you checked the power consumption. At todays power prices you may not be able to afford to run it.
And just what is this amazing device?
Its an AMD CPU - they come with 10’s of cores - like 32, 64 or more… and I tink they’re faster cores than you’d get on a Ryzen… Linus was using one a few years back to build the kernel…
But it’s not a simple CHIP replacement - different chipset and CPU form factor (it’s rectangular shaped).
I find LTT’s response to LT kind of repulsive. He’s only a human who happens to have made some very good and high profile contributions, but human nonetheless. I wonder what LT was thinking when he got recorded being put on a pedestal like this.

Not even sure who should own this task? If I have no idea what some seemingly random topic is about that suddenly starts “trending” again - or get’s a necropost, or appearing near the top of recent topics - I scroll to the top of the topic anyway…
