I use Okta Verify and it runs very well in the Andromeda/Android instance on FuriOS. The developers have installed MicroG so it appears to have Play Services. I can’t really fully disengage from Android also because of work, but I do like to be able to shut down the Android instance at the end of the day and close out the android stuff which is where most of the snoopiness is outside of the browser.
Some of us on here do it - using TermUX (see below)
I don’t do it very often - but - I do use TermUX - i.e. bash (zsh) shell on my Android phone…
I think @nevj and @Rosika are both TermUX users…
I’m more likely to take advantage of TermUX to run SSHD on my phone so I can SSH to it… But I do occasionally use it on my phone’s screen with the horrible clunky Anroid OSK… Note - I might actually use it (Termux) more often - I recently dug out a tiny-ish BT Keyboard with Trackpad (it’s about 9" wide)…
Anyway - I was just thinking about that NexPhone… it’s around the price of my most recent phone - a 2nd hand Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra… Actually - probably works out a tad less…
- The S23 Ultra - mine came with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage (no SD card slot)… and worked out around $800 AUD…
- The NexPhone? 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage (with SD-card support)… I’m tempted… GPU accelerated Debian environment? That sounds a bit vague… 10 years of support (due to Snapdragon???). $199 just go on the list to get one for $549 USD (i.e. pay $350 USD when ready to ship).
I’ve wanted a battery powered portable (pocketable) Linux machine for ages… Was tempted by SteamDeck recently - but it’s not pocket size!
Yeah - I’m a tragic for funky little Linux gadgets :
Top Left - Pi Zero 2W in a Beepy! chassis with 3D printed case
Top Right - PocketCHIP running PocketCHIP OS (Debian Jessie for armhf)
Bottom - Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone running TermUX
(note : PocketCHIP was a bit of an exaggeration - which pocket? the side pocket on a pair of cargo pants?)
Note : I used TermUX and sshd to grab the above photo via rsync off my old Galaxy S9+

Interesting hardware, I will do a research about their use (it about the both shown at the top) because I am curious,
BTW what is model of the “small” keyboard shown at the bottom?
It is an excellent post because my 2 uncles have 2 iPads in perfect conditions but with a very old iOS. I told them, keep it in case Linux in the future offers something
