Big respect to everyone in the trenches duking it out with the technology every day.
It ain’t glamorous, but we love it anyway.

I took the day off.
That was today?
I spent most of yesterday using RDP and microsoft word to update some doco… Yeck! Worst part was getting the finished document out of that environment - tried to use OneDrive but my employer no longer lets us use it unless we’re on a corporate device…
What I had to do (and this is frowned upon by management - but - why make it more difficult than it needs to be???) - upload the saved document to my Google Drive… Then download it to a local copy (and Brave SUCKS at downloading docs from Google Docs) and then attach it to an email… Seriously… That probably took longer than the actual editing…
Must be nice just taking a day off… Big problem when you retire just not possible
The big thing that comes with retirement is freedom… you get to choose what you do each day.
A wise choice might occasionally mean doing nothing. I find that as I age, my body cant keep up with what my mind plans to do. I suppose that is the tradeoff of retirement… things go slower, I make more mistakes, some goals are beyond my reach…i am still free to choose, but the range of choices is narrowing.
Freedom, comes in the form of rdv medical, to treat the things you never had time for before. Dentist, doctors, scans, blood tests… and all before apéritif.
