This is not a Linux question nor a foss problem

I run our association Web site, been using the same hosts ovh cloud for around 2 years and updates using wordpress. Sunday the site was up and running fine, but today wanted to add another event and just get the following message

Hosting in maintenance

This site is temporarily unavailable

tried contacting ovh, no reply.

Check there servers and everything looks to be running as normal, but almost hidden on one page is a similar message but no further details.

Anyone come across similar problems

Anyone using ovh ?

How can you test or trouble shoot without much more detail, our site is

If you do connect you are not going to see anything exciting just events in our village

Yes we are back on line

No idea what went wrong but guess it was a fault at ovh hosting the tech support team did not reply but looking through the link you sent me did suggest they were in difficulty not just our site.

Not a fan of ovh, it was a choice made by the son of our ex président as he worked for them, but has now moved on to another company. Problems like these are out of my hands but I face the comments local when they dont work. Something about shooting the messenger !

I’m quite certain that there are other providers in France. But keep in mind, such issues can happen everywhere.

Very true. But its the after sales support in this case is lacking.

30 years ago I did my first personal web site using a local company titan, they were superb for response within minutes of my question they started a process to reply. I am still with them although they have been bought out, merged and re merged now called easy space. Very rare now I need them so not sure if its still true on service, but would like to think so.

They have a community website for problems and issues

Looks and feels just like our own same software tools. But if you post a question its vetted by the modérateurs before posting that takes a while problem had gone before anyone repliedvto me

Once I was in a forum where my first five posts required moderation; after that, it was “open”. Not ideal for a quick support request.
