How do I set up a passkey for my It's FOSS login?

When I attempted to log in today, I saw that if I had one, I could use a passkey. Where can I set this up? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ernie,
i wish I could answer from experience, but I have never done it.
This may help

" To set up a passkey for it’s foss.community, you need to first log in to your account on the It’s FOSS website, and then navigate to the security or account settings within the community forum itself. The process requires you to confirm your identity using your device’s screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face ID). Once a passkey is created for your It’s FOSS account, you can use it to log in to the community forum without a password. "

Neville,

Thank you for the information you posted in your reply. I wound up having to create a password for my account before I could generate a passkey, so I followed the prompts in the Security section of the It’s FOSS community website, first to create a password for my account, then to add a passkey, so now all I have to do is have 1password unlocked, and I’m in.

I looked all over the It’s FOSS main page, and I found nothing useful, then I remembered that you alluded to me signing into the It’s FOSS community forum, so I went there, signed in, and almost immediately found the Security link near the top of the page. Without the information you posted, I may never have found the Security section for my account.

Again, thank you for responding so quickly!
