How to install latest LibreOffice on KDE Neon?

Have followed these directives to the letter and it’s not working for me:

…go to the official LibreOffice site and download the 64-bit DEB package. Once it has downloaded, follow these steps:

  1. Open up Konsole
  2. Change into the Downloads directory with the command cd ~/Downloads
  3. Extract the package with the command tar xvzf LibreOffice_XXX_x86-64_deb.tar.gz (where XXX is the release number)
  4. Change into the DEB directory with the command cd LibreOffice_XXX_x86-64_deb/DEBS (where XXX is the release number)
  5. Install the packages with the command *sudo dpkg -i .deb
  6. When prompted, type your sudo password and allow the installation to complete

Have gdebi installed but that’s not of any use here either.

Is LibreOffice not found in the software center?

It is.
But reading up on the web, it seemed like an older version (5 maybe) and i wanted to be sure to have the latest.
Did finally install it (version 6) via software repo but it sure clashes with the rest of KDE gui.

That was going to be my next suggestion: to add the repo and install it through the terminal. Glad you got it sorted.

I have marked this as solved as reading through the thread it seems to have been :grinning:
