Hydrapaper not working on Cinnamon 20.2b - any other options?

Hydrapaper can’t let me select images from the picture folder…
And Variety app. doesn’t have option to set separate images on laptop and external monitor.

Any other options?

whats hydraper bro, tell me ill help

I think I tried that app many years ago when I got my first “2nd” monitor to run Linux on…

Eventually realised - I never see my wallpaper anyway so I barely care what it is…

I seem to remember it was bit finicky… back then ~10 years or so ago…

On the odd occasions I do want different wallpapers on different monitors (and I do usually have different geometries - and one monitor in portrait mode) I create a very large SVG (e.g. A2 or A1) document in Inkscape, paste or drag and drop bitmaps onto the document - arrange them how I want them “wallpapered” - then export to PNG (with dimensions per my virtual multi-monitor desktop) and set to my wallpaper from Nautilus…

It’s a flatpak app natively installable in LinuxMint now.

But, seeing that this 20.2 is a beta, it probably won’t be until final version in (August?) that it will work.
(Think MATE edition has a dual monitor setup option without the need of this app.).
