Important: Unifying It's FOSS assets and changing the login system of Community forum

How did you access your email? In Firefox, Waterfox or some email client?

In thunderbird.
Its OK, its just that I had default browser set to waterfox.

That explains it

@abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

thanks for implementing the new login procedure.
It works fine, it seems.

Taking up my question I posted in post #15:

and your subsequent answer in post #16:

I may now tell you that you´re assumption was right.

To completely log out the procedure has to be gone through twice.

On a sidenote:

As long as I am logged in “main” ItsFoss I can still log out and in again into the community without needing a new login link.
That I only need when I´m completely logged out (i.e. of both).

Thanks again for your work and many greetings.

Works for me too… Cheers

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback

I am finding that system inconvenient in some cases
eg) I am in Linux in a VM. I start a browser and login to FOSS. It sends a link to my email. .
I dont have email in the VM, so I go to the host email. I try to copy and paste the link into the VM browser. You cant do that , copy/paste doesnt work between host and VM… they each have their own clipboard.

Hello @nevj

Which tool are you using for the VM. Almost all of them have an additional mechanism for sharing clipboard between guest and host operating systems.

P.S. Did you change your profile picture?

Using qemu/kvm at the command line.
@Rosika has shown me how to share the clipboard.
