Is my laptop too old to run Mint 19.1?

The second thing I did was to monitor the system behavior while the browser plays a video at 720p in full screen.

In my opinion, the overall CPU results seem higher on MX Xfce than on MINT MATE, when tested on my laptop. Due to this and the fact that I really like MINT MATE I wont be testing the MX Xfce 64 bit

I’ll conclude this topic by saying what many of you have said, altought while adding a little more:

It is possible to run Linux MINT 19.1 choosing the correct DE and the more apropriate programs (e.g. browsers) for your system specifications

Most common printers can be installed via https://localhost:631/ which takes you to CUPS = Common Unix Printing Service , originally an Apple application . To date it has always installed any printer (I have) used.
