We already have a Telegram Channel where we push posts regularly. What would you like to see there? And, it’s purpose?
For me NO …
Why bother when we have the site and weekly newsletter and that is enough.
I get so many whatsapp stuff each day unlikely i would accept
But did not know about telegram

I didn’t know about telegram and I don’t use that option.
Yes, I am aware about the same page itself and newsletter, but I wrote this post just a suggestion for consideration.
BTW about a channel on whatsapp you must subscribed or you can go to the channel manually, as I do for other channels (latter approach), so there is no spam if it is a concern
For me the spam is not the issue, its just getting so many notifications from so many sources and most of them just say the same thing.
I watch youtube for pleasure and research but fed up with the subscribe to this channel or after 5 mins the adverts, and not going to pay !

I will not install telegram on my phone/computer. It’s waaaay too insecure. Besides; their client is not open source.
Whatsapp is based on the same protocol as signal. Both are extremely secure – signal way more than whatsapp, because meta doesn’t use one feature which makes signal quite anonymous.
Besides, signal – at least the client – is open source. This allows for the verification of its security. Could itsfoss switch from telegram to signal please?

Still not convinced that I want to be part of any of them.
I only use WhatsApp as the committee I am part of choose it as the main communication tool to members, ok its quick and easy but at stupid hours of the day its used.
Bring back carrier pigeons all is forgiven !
