KDE Neon - Hybrid Sleep

Hi!

Currently running KDE Neon. As it is a derived distribution of Ubuntu, but not officially tied to Ubuntu this seemed to be the most fitting category to post in.

I really want hybrid sleep to work as it does in Windows. I have set it up after some recommendations and guides that I found online. Hibernation works as expected, and resumes. If I let the machine go to sleep, I can remove the battery, insert it and upon next boot it will resume the session.

The issue I am having is that I want it to go hibernate after a specific time (e.g. 1 hour), as not to waste battery in sleep mode if it stays in my bag for 1-2 days. I have selected “Hybrid-Sleep” in the Energy / Power Settings, and as mentioned it sleeps just as it should - it just doesn’t hibernate after the set time.

In Windows 10 and later, the laptop will start up after a certain time interval in sleep mode and then hibernate.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?
I am using an older Lenovo Thinkpad W530.

I can post config files if needed, I’m just not sure what files to post.
