Linux Subsystem for Windows (LSW)?

I’ve just received my XDA Newsletter, Sunday edition and the first item I saw was named " Running Windows apps on Linux just changed forever, and I was one of the first to try it".

Since this project is in its very early alpha state, I’m hesitant to install it, but I’m curious enough that I may take an image of Garuda then give it a try. I wonder if I can install UniGetUI in the subsystem and install a few desktop games I enjoy …

I am not on top of this. It seems it uses some tricky way of directly accessing your host’s hardware from inside the guest VM.

How is LSW different from the Xen project ? Xen can run Windows using paravirtuslisation.

By all means give it a try… with backup precautions

It is different from ‘Bottles’ … that is a Wine enhancement. This is a whole VM.

I see some Claude references on the github site.
