LMDE with TLP -- hibernate?

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad with AMD Radeon graphics. I noticed that since installing TLP for battery life the Hibernate option disappeared. I have read about driver issues with AMD graphics under Debian distros, and since I dual boot with Windows (giving me access to Lenovo Vantage for battery settings) would I be best advised to uninstall TLP to regain the hibernate option?

Considering that Gnome (Cinnamon) has its own power save features, and TLP is gradually aging (supports more ThinkPad than IdeaPad features).

FWIW systemctl hibernate results in an error Call to Hibernate failed: Sleep verb "hibernate" not supported. This is apparently an indicator that Secure Boot is enabled, and I don’t wish to turn it off to support hibernation.

I think I have a hardware issue here and hibernation and Secure Boot just don’t play well together. Thoughts?
