Long used team server decommissioned today

My team has been using a server for the past six years or so. It was named ENG01 and just today it was terminated. I asked Copilot to create a gravestone for it. It came up with four choices. Here are a couple.

Did the info / function of the server moved to the cloud?
Where my son-in-law works, all the servers have moved to the cloud.

The old server was in the cloud as is the new one. In this case it was an AWS EC2 t3.medium instance. Now it’s a t3a.medium. AMD based is slightly cheaper. We may have even been able to deploy a Graviton t4g.medium, but some things we might want to deploy may not have worked on Graviton. The Graviton processor is the AWS version of an ARM processor.

It was originally CentOS 6, then replaced with a CentOS 7 version. This is now Alma 9.3.

“When you were young
you walked where you liked;
but when you grow old
you will stretch out your hands,
and somebody else will take you
where you would rather not go” (John 21:18)

Gospel reading for today
It may not be a coincidence
