Please suggest some opensource self hosted platform for whatsapp alternative for internal communications within an organisation. Without number of users limitations

In my association we use WhatsApp and its fine on the phone with android but the linux version on the web struggled no sound yet.
We have tried google meet and the microsoft teams, but both did not give satisfaction with connection issues
Now depends on your self hosting idea ….
Would email be enough to do what you want?
Sometimes sophisticated solutions make trouble. If you really need something like live video conferencing, get a specialised app.
Nowadays my suggestion would be Delta Chat.
How about Tox? It’s decentralized too and has a dream of becoming totally decentralized (for group chats they still maintain some sort of an indexing service). Anybody in here using this protocol? (the main website mentions three programs which provide an implementation of it).
If you’re specifically looking for open-source and self-hosted options, you can check out Mattermost, Rocket.Chat, and Zulip.
If you need enterprise features, white-labeling, or dedicated support while still keeping deployment under your control, platforms like MirrorFly are also worth evaluating.
We had a similar requirement a while back. If your priority is keeping everything on your own infrastructure, Matrix with Element is probably on of the strongest open source options. Rocket chat is also worth looking at if you need messaging with team collaboration features.

It really depends on what you mean by a WhatsApp alternative. If it’s just secure internal messaging then Matrix is good option. If you also need voice calls, video meetings, file sharing and admin control then try MirrorFly.
