Mirkosloth Windows Terminal - what a fizzer

Finally, finally, got my Corporate SOE/MOE Windows 10 laptop updated to a more recent build of Windows 10, recent enough to open the MS Store and install “Microsoft Windows Terminal” app… I’d only been waiting like 18 months - I was hoping this would make my Windows 10 user experience more UNIXy… NOPE!

Transparency? I can get a transparent terminal in Debian 8 Jessie on XFCE such that I can read the writing in a Window underneath the terminal window (e.g. on a single core ARM device with 512 MB RAM with compiz turned on [need GPU drivers for this to work])…

Here’s Merkinsoft’s idea of “opacity” setting of 50% (and you have to edit a json file to even get this kludge!):
