Mouse problem after resume

Kernel: 5.15.0-53-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 11.2.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 5.4.12
tk: GTK 3.24.33 wm: Mutter dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 21 Vanessa base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy

After a resume from any length of time, my mouse right or left click does not work for about 20 to 30 seconds. It is not a big deal, but it is a bit frustrating. A back out of the latest update to Mint did not solve the problem. I have a full system backup, but did not want to do a full restore at this time.

I did not find a good match searching the internet for the problem. System is fully up-to-date with patches. There is no problem with the mouse after a power on of the laptop.
Any suggestions?

Is the mouse wireless or wired? All my PC’s now are using wired mouse and keyboard.

Did it hibernate or suspend ?
I dont trust these, always turn them off.
My computers are either powered off or in use… nothing in between, except maybe a screenlock.

Wireless. But never had a problem in the past. This problem just started about a month ago. I even tried a different wireless mouse.
