There is a site called Internet Archive. You might try looking there for it or for some other software. I search for Linux Mint and got a lot of hits.
Got the 19.3 32bit of mint xfce runs really well on the netbook, much faster than debian mint as it uses less resources.
You really need Void/xfce 32 bit.
Care to say why ?
I like mint as I use it across many clients and computers so it looks and feels similar. What does void do different ?
The only things you will notice different are
- xbps instead of apt
- runit instead of systemd
- rolling release
If you live in Xfce you will hardly notice any difference
Why use Void/Xfce? ⌠you will get updates. A frozen old version of Mint will gradually become inoperable, at least for internet access.
Not a big worry, the computers are getting towards 20 years old so every day is more than a pleasure. Just to tight to throw away.
So was I, until I discovered Oregonâs âe-cyclingâ program. It uses Goodwill Industries to collect electronic senior citizensâlike your notebooksâand sends them to be disassembled and the valuable items harvested. Perhaps you have a local service that does the same thing.
We do. The local Counvil runs recycling centres and they handle e-waste for free.
We do have the same, but each time I put kit in the council place someone else takes it, ok its recycled but not for a good cause. We also have emmaus but they are a good hour away and not always open. Will wait till I have a stock.
No it feels a bit to much for me i stick to snapp shots and other back ups for now
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Seems like you are doing a good job of reusing.
