New development on GUI project - gtk2-ng

Didn’t see it mentioned in the forum, so I thought I’d post about it for those who may be interested. There’s a gtk+ 2 revival project in the works. It’s a fork of gtk2 that works with more modern libraries and dependencies. More information available here: https://git.devuan.org/Daemonratte/gtk2-ng I’ve been experimenting with building it from source on a few operating systems. It seems pretty nice. It’s one way to bring new life to older gtk+ 2 projects. Some of the users who are testing out the project have been discussing ideas for sharing more retro and hobby based projects as an alternative to a lot of the corporation developed FOSS that’s so prevalent at this time.

I like that direction.
One person developments often have more intelligent and creative input
and
they have a certain one-person-overview that is often missing from team efforts.
