Not able to limit my bandwidth using wondershaper

I was trying to limit my bandwidth using wondershaper
but this is now working
guys, can you point out why.
I am currently using an ext router of TP Link.
I used the following commands on terminal then also getting 1mbps speed

You do limit the wired (unconnected) ethernet, and you are expecting wlan to be limited…

but after i tried for wlx503…
then also it didn’t worked
it was giving 1 mbps download speed even after limiting it to 200 kbps !!
