Orico PDM2 M.2 NVMe to PCI-E 3.0 X4 Expansion Card

Has anyone used such cards in Linux, I am expanding my system setup and replacing a disk using this expansion card. I will be replacing my /mnt/backup_data in a lvm setup. Needing info if these cards work in linux. The spec say so, it is always good to ask. I will be using 2 1 tb nvme and 1 4tb sata.

It supports sata as well a nvme.
I have a card like that which has 8 sata ports. To boot from any of the sata disks on that card I have to disable the fast boot option in the BIOS.
Then I get a very slow boot as it grinds its way through 4 controllers that it would otherwise ignore.

I think mine is in a 16x slot. Will have to check.
The boot time wiĺl depend on the number of controĺlers it has to probe.

My card supports pluggable sata disks. I have a cage that holds 4 removable 2.5 in sata disks. It is useful for backups and it is a good way to isolate a hard install from my main internal disk.
