Sorry, I think you could have used nano. It might be useful
to know some simple vi usage.
I think Jorge has the answer… the TAB issue is only half
the story.

Looks like a Periodic Table of Elements. 
I’ve used vi long enough that I consider myself “proficient”. Not expert by any means. I just use it because it’s almost always available. Nano has gotten to be nearly as available maybe.

I am so welded to vi that I attempt to use it when typing into discourse… h,j,k,l are not moving the cursor, and when I hit ESC you know what happens
